Design activities encompass active and passive instrumentation for applications such as atmospheric remote sensing and radio astronomy; and range from the design of complete instruments to sub-micron scale Schottky diodes, a key enabling technology of terahertz devices. MMTG expertise also encompasses the design of transceiver components incorporating MMIC and Schottky technology, quasi-optical components and blackbody calibration targets.
The design team use industry-standard software complimented by custom in-house models to ensure state-of-the-art performance. Software used by MMTG includes:
- Ansys HFSS
- Keysight ADS
- COMSOL
- Ticra GRASP
- Ticra CHAMP
Examples of recent design work undertaken by MMTG are shown below.
