In this role he is responsible for ensuring that RAL Space has the requisite resources and capabilities to provide assurance of the quality of processes, of products, of project management, of information assets, and of safety across all the test facilities we operate.
Prior to this role Sean was seconded to RAL Space as the Programme Manager for the National Satellite Test Facility (NSTF). In that role he was charged with bringing together the multiple disparate bodies involved in making the NSTF a reality to meet the requirements of the UK space industry. This he achieved in late spring of 2024.
Following a successful 20-year career in the military, Sean worked as the Head of Facilities Management for Kia Motors, overseeing their portfolio of around 150 properties across the UK. He joined STFC in 2007 and for 10 years was responsible for managing the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory estate. A highlight of this role was the delivery of the R100 building for RAL Space.
