Madeleine leads the communications team at RAL Space having worked in the team since 2017.

​During this time she was responsible for the communications activities for the National Satellite Test Facility from funding to opening. She also led communications efforts for the international Ariel payload consortium.

Prior to this she had strategic communications roles in central government departments and worked for four years in the UK Space Agency where she led the delivery of the four national launch events for UK ESA astronaut Tim Peake's mission to the International Space Station.

She has worked closely with colleagues across the sector throughout her career to change the perception of the UK space sector and showcase its often-unsung strengths to domestic and international audiences.

Responsible for RAL Space's reputation and promoting its position at the heart of the UK space sector. Leads activities to rally RAL Space's communities, captivate the general public, engage and inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers and technicians as well as connecting staff to enable them to work together better to deliver our strategy.
